Rapport: on the road with Absolute Radio

Henry Lucas, Rapport’s Sky Account Director got to hang out with the stars, in iconic London locations in the back of a cab last week… Read all about this innovative OOH advertising stunt here!

On Friday 5th July we took to the streets of London in our Fibre Taxis and, alongside Sky and Absolute Radio, delivered a cracking media first!

The Absolute Radio breakfast show was presented live from the back of one of our G4 enabled Sky cabs with Christian O’Connell and Richie Firth presenting as usual. I joined them in another cab following not too far behind the mobile studio, with the rest of the media team and travelled across London visiting various special guests and locations along the way. Definite highlights were being in the Tower Bridge control room as Christian O’Connell raised the bridge and watching Passenger perform live in the back on the taxi whilst parked up at Trafalgar Square!

The integrated 4G connectivity of Sky Fibre kept them on-air throughout the morning and allowed us to stop and interact with the unsuspecting general public. This very carefully planned stunt is a real testament to our innovative approach and demonstrates the technological capabilities of media on the go.
