Wildstone Consulting is on the lookout for a new advertising partner after TDK announced that it was ending its contract with Land Securities, leaving its iconic Piccadilly Lights digital advertising space available for the first time in 24 years.
The central super-premium screen measures 101.3m² and is being marketed as a rare opportunity for advertisers to secure such prestigious advertising for their brand. Valuations for this OOH space hover in the region of £4m per year, which comes as no surprise when research suggests that the full motion screens benefit from two million impacts each week, deriving from passing traffic and pedestrians walking through Piccadilly Circus.
With a history spanning well over a century, the Piccadilly Lights has played host to a number of the world’s most popular brands including Kodak, Schweppes and BP.
Damian Cox, Chief Executive at Wildstone, commented:
While it feels like the end of an era to see TDK leave the site, we expect a number of world famous brands will jump at the opportunity to claim the site as their own, possibly for decades to come.”
