Deliveroo Get Commuter’s Taste Buds Tingling at London Waterloo

Inspired by the experience of using a classic slot machine, Deliveroo, the delivery start-up company, recently installed a two-metre high giant slot game at London’s Waterloo station. The mechanism, better known as the ‘RooMachine’, offered players the chance to pull the lever and spin the bespoke rollers to win delicious prizes.

The game includes a fun foodie twist, with commuters playing for samples from some of Deliveroo’s most popular restaurant partners including Hummingbird Bakery, Yo! Sushi, Press, Crosstown and Farmstand.

Dan Warne, a Spokesperson at Deliveroo, said:

“Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, deciding what to eat is always difficult – especially if you’re at work all day and don’t have the time to think about shopping, let alone prepare something yourself. We hope The RooMachine will get people excited about meal times and the great choice we have on Deliveroo.”
